Effective this Thursday 9/8/2011, NYS has passed an ordinance making it illegal to dump raw sewage in the Long Island Sound.
Really? They just decided that human waste being dumped in fishing and swimming areas is not a good idea. The new law would require boaters to go to special pump stations...
