Drone Crash Over Massapequa Park After Losing Contact with the Craft
This is video captured right before crashing my drone into a nearby tree at an altitude of about 90 feet (9 stories up). After about 5 minutes of flying around my neighborhood, the craft stopped responding to my controller. Within seconds, she bolts across the sky and almost immediately crashed into a nearby tree.
Landing about 3 feet from my neighbor’s pool, the only damage was a broken propeller blade and the camera cable was destroyed. Since the video ended when the cable was damaged, the file was corrupt and unplayable. I finally found an online service to repair it. Here is an edited version of the crash.
